A SimplePractice alternative that doesn't charge by the feature.
SimplePractice is the default for therapists, and it's good at it. It also sells the things you assumed were included — telehealth, messaging, online booking, e-prescribing — as tiers and add-ons. Branzino is the whole thing at one price, built for cash-pay practices of every kind.

Where each one wins
Where SimplePractice wins
- Track record and scale — over a decade in market, a very large therapist user base.
- iOS and Android apps for clinicians today (our iOS patient app is still in review).
- Insurance claim filing on every plan, priced per claim, with a mature clearinghouse workflow.
- The Monarch client directory, Wiley treatment planners and built-in measurement-based care tools.
- A larger third-party integration marketplace.
Where Branzino wins
- Everything included at $29 per provider: telehealth, secure messaging, online booking, portal, memberships, CareRAG — no Essential, no Plus.
- e-Prescribing for $10 per prescriber with no setup fee, against $49 a month plus $89 setup.
- Built for more than therapy: med spa, chiropractic, physical therapy, direct primary care and sports performance presets out of the box.
- Memberships, prepaid packages and card-on-file are first-class, not a workaround.
- Free data migration, a signed BAA at no charge, and the founder on support.
If your practice files a high volume of insurance claims and relies on SimplePractice's clearinghouse workflow, or your clinicians live in the SimplePractice mobile app, stay for now. Our insurance billing is a $40 add-on built for practices with a few payers, not a billing department.
What the same practice pays
SimplePractice's group pricing is $99 for the first clinician on Plus and $74 for each additional; ePrescribe is $49 a month per prescriber plus an $89 setup fee; claims are billed per claim on top.

Feature availability by SimplePractice plan is from their "Comparing features by plan" support article, which is the authority; if it changes, they win the argument, not this table.

Questions people ask when leaving SimplePractice
Can you import my SimplePractice notes and documents?
Yes. Send us the client export and the downloaded documents; we map demographics, history and files into Branzino for you, free. Notes come across as documents attached to the right client.
Does Branzino have Wiley treatment planners?
No. If you depend on Wiley's libraries, that's a real reason to stay. Branzino has structured treatment plans, PHQ-9 and GAD-7 screening, and behavioral-health intake and risk assessment built in.
Do I lose telehealth if I switch?
No — telehealth is included on the $29 plan for every provider, with no tier to move up to.
Are you ONC-certified?
No. Certification matters if you bill Medicare or Medicaid under programs that require certified technology. For a practice that bills patients directly it has no bearing on charting, prescribing or HIPAA. Who actually needs it →
How long have you been around?
We started building Branzino in early 2025 and opened it to practices in summer 2026. We're early and we say so. Who's behind it →

You've been meaning to leave for a while.
Most practices stay because switching sounds like a nightmare. We move your clients and history across for free, and you'll be charting the same week. 30 days, no card.
